                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu araştırmada üniversite öğrencilerininmükemmeliyetçilik ve yalnızlık düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkide duygusal zekânınaracı rolünün incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu2016 / 2017 eğitim öğretim yılında Bayburt Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören 181’ikadın, 125’i erkek, toplam 306 öğrenci oluşturmuştur.Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu, UCLA-YalnızlıkÖlçeği, Frost - Çok Boyutlu Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği ve Duygusal ZekâÖzelliği Ölçeği – Kısa Formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadaki değişkenlerarasındaki ilişkileri ve dolaylı etkileri belirlemek için Pearson KorelasyonAnalizi ve Boostrap Yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlaragöre yalnızlık ile mükemmeliyetçilik arasında pozitif, duygusal zekâ ileyalnızlık ve mükemmeliyetçilik arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişkibulunmuştur. Son olarak yalnızlık ile mükemmeliyetçilik arasında duygusalzekânın kısmı aracı rolü olduğu sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır.</p></abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
                            <p>This study primarily aimed to examine the mediator role of emotionalintelligence on the relationship between the perfectionism and lonelinesslevels of university students. The participants of the study consisted of 306 students(181 females and 125 males) in Bayburt University in 2016-2017 academic year.In the current study, following instruments were used: Demographic Information Form,UCLA-Loneliness Scale, Frost Multi-dimensional Perfecionism Scale and EmotionalIntelligence Traits Scale-Short Form. In order to determined the relationshipsand indirect effects among the variables Pearson Correlation Analysis andBoostrap Method were used. The results indicated that there was a negativecorrelation between loneliness and emotional intelligence. A similar negativerelationship was also found between perfectionism and emotional intelligence.On the other hand, a positive correlation was observed between perfectionismand loneliness. Finally, the results demonstrated that there was a partialmediator role of emotional intelligence on the relationship between lonelinessand perfectionism.</p></trans-abstract>
