Abstract
Epidemics are one of the main factors affecting the economic and social structures of societies and forcing changes in various ways. The Covid-19 pandemic, which has deeply affected the whole world for the last two years, has brought about serious changes and transformations in the structure of societies on a global scale. So much so that people's lifestyles, socialization levels and working conditions have changed. The profession of journalism, on the other hand, has become even more important in accessing accurate and reliable information in this challenging period. However, as in all other fields, journalism has been affected by the pandemic in various ways. During this period, a number of changes occurred both in journalism activities and in the working conditions of journalists. The aim of the study is to determine the changes and transformations in the working practices of journalists in Turkey during the Covid-19 pandemic. In this direction, interviews were conducted with people working in different branches of the media field in Turkey at the national and regional level, using maximum diversity sampling which is one of the purposive sampling methods. With the research, it has been determined that digital technologies provide a significant advantage to the field of journalism in the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, it has been seen that the use of new communication technologies in the media field during the Covid-19 pandemic period has made it necessary for journalists to learn to use digital technologies more functionally as a professional requirement. Also, as a result of the study, it was determined that the Covid-19 pandemic negatively affected the collective working style of journalists and individuality came to the fore.
