Gastrointestınal Stromal Tumor rare Localized In Gastric Fundus: A Case Report

Abstract

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are mesenchimal tumors that originate from interstitial kajal cells and usually located in the stomach. A 78 year old man admitted to our clinic with complaints of inguinal hernia. The upper endoscopy which we performed due to anemia, revealed an ulcerated and minimally bleeding polypoid mass with a size of 5x5 cm in fundus. Pathological examination of endoscopic biopsy demonstrated gastrointestinal stromal tumor. Abdominal computerized tomography showed a 4x5 cm mass in gastric fundus. We performed gastostomy and wedge resection. Patient discharged without complication in postoperative 5th day.

Abstract

Gastrointestinal stromal tümörler özellikle midede görülen, interstisyel kajal hücrelerden köken alan mezenkimal tümörlerdir. İnguinal herni nedeniyle kliniğimize başvuran 78 yaşındaki erkek hastada anemi saptanması nedeniyle yapılan üst gis endoskopisinde mide fundusunda, yüzeyi ülsere ve kanamalı, yaklaşık 5x5 cm boyutlarında polipoid kitle izlendi. Alınan endoskopik biyopsi sonucu gastrointestinal stromal tümör olarak raporlandı. Batın tomografisinde mide fundusunda yerleşimli, yaklaşık 4x5 cm boyutunda kitle rapor edildi. Gastrotomi ve wedge rezeksiyon uygulanan hasta 5. günde sorunsuz olarak taburcu edildi.
