                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>Amaç: Bu çalışmada anneleri etkileyen stres faktörlerini saptamak, annelerin Yenidoğan Yoğun Bakım Ünitesi (YYBÜ) çalışanlarından beklentilerini ve bunlarla baş etmede birinci basamak hekiminin rolünü belirlemek planlandı. Metod: Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Hastanesinde YYBÜ&#039;de bebekleri izlenen 78 anne ile postpartum 3. gün ve sonrasında yüz yüze görüşülerek sosyodemografik özellikleri, prenatal, natal ve postnatal öyküleri kaydedildi. Annelere Durumluk-Sürekli Kaygı Envanteri ile Genel Sağlık Anketi uygulandı. Bulgular: YYBÜ’ye kabul edilme nedenlerinden en sık olanı prematüriteydi. Annelerin psikolojik stres düzeylerini etkileyen pek çok erken saptandı. Bebeklerine temas eden ya da onları görmeye giden 41 annenin durumluk-sürekli kaygı düzeyinde artış olduğu, hospitalizasyon süresi arttıkça ve gestasyonel yaş düştükçe kaygı düzeyleri, depresyona eğilimlerinin arttığı saptandı. Düşük doğum ağırlıklı bebeklerin annelerinin kaygı düzeylerini arttırdığı, eğitim düzeyi arttıkça ise depresyon varlığı ve kaygı düzeylerinin düştüğü saptandı. Anne yaşı ile depresyon varlığı ve kaygı düzeyleri arasında ilişki saptanmadı. Düşük riski ya da intrauterin bebek ölümü öyküsü olan annelerin sürekli kaygı düzeyleri arttığı saptandı. Sonuç: Prematür bebek ve konjenital anomalili bebek doğumu, birçok kadının psikoteröpatik tedaviye ihtiyaç duyduğu oldukça travmatik bir olaydır. Türkiye’de aile hekimliği uygulaması başlamıştır. Aile hekimleri yüksek riskli bebek doğumundan sonra anne ve bebeklerin izlemlerini koordine etmekle ve özellikle annelerde bu dönemde artmış olan kaygı düzeyleri nedeniyle aileleri yakından takip etmekle sorumludur</p></abstract>
