Abstract

Midazolam is most commonly used for sedation and premedication in the practice of anesthesiology. Although it is very rare, especially in children and the elderly, after injection of midazolam, confusion, euphoria, hallucinations, agitation, involuntary movements (tonic / clonic movements and muscle tremors), hyperactivity, hostility, rage reaction, aggressiveness, paroxysmal excitability and paradoxical reactions have been reported. The development of generalized dystonia due to the use of Midazolam has been reported rarely in the literature. We present a case of generalized dystonia developing due to the use of midazolam for to the operation of the ureterolithiasis in a patient in this report.

Premedikasyon için Uygulanan Midazolamdan Sonra Görülen Distoni: Olgu Sunumu

Year 2013, Volume: 15 Issue: 1 - 2013; 15(1), 33 - 34, 01.03.2013
