Austrian school of thought has long dealt with the notion of intellectual property and intellectual property rights witohut much consensus. Recent research aims to observe intellectual property in the praxeological setup, by focusing on its praxeological impossibility. In this sense, intellectual property laws are considered as having disruptive effects on market evolution. Current approach focuses on current research to show that intellectual property is disruptive to the market evolution, in particular, product innovation and market shaping and the key element to understand this is the role of perceptions as a point of departure for innovations.
Avusturya iktisat okulu, fikri mülkiyeti uzun zamandır gündeminde tutmakta olsa dahi, bu unsuru fikirsel bir bütünlük içinde ele alamamıştır. Yakın tarihli araştırmalar, fikri mülkiyeti praksiyolojik açıdan ele alır ve onu praksiyolojik bir imkânsızlık olarak değerlendirir. Bu bağlamda, fikri mülkiyet yasalarının pazar evrimine yıkıcı etkileri olduğundan bahsedilmektedir. Bu yazıyla amaçlanan, fikri mülkiyetin ürün inovasyonu ve pazar şekillenmesi sürecine yıkıcı etkisini analiz etmektir. Bu yıkıcı etkiyi anlamanın temel taşı da yeni ürünlerin ortaya çıkış sürecinin başlangıç noktasında bulunan algı sürecini anlamaktır.
