Improving the Penetration Rates at Exploration Drilling at Turkey in Relation to Operational and Formation Parameters

Abstract

This paper describ JS the results of the field and laboratory work to find the optimum rates of penetration at different formations in diamond drilling by the variation of operational factors. An intensive field study was undertaken at Zonguldak hardcoal region on the drilling rigs of the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration. All the formations encountered are studied in detail for optimum penetration rates at least three times the rates attained before. According to the conclusions derived, optimum ranges for the operational factors are suggested together with related penetraiton rate equations

Abstract

Bu yazı, elmaslı sondajlarda değişik formasyonlara göre operasyon parametreleri ile oynayarak optimum ilerleme hızlarının bulunmasını anlatmaktadır. Çalışmada, MTA Genel Müdürlüğüne ait Longyear 44 sondaj makinalarinm, Zonguldak Taşkömürü Havzasi'ndaki sondajları, detay olarak irdelenmekte ve formasyonlarla ilgili laboratuvar çalışmaları değerlendirilmektedir. Tüm formasyonlarda optimum ilerleme hızları saptanmış ve geçmiş ilerleme hızlarının 2- 3 katı elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara bağlı olarak, operasyon parametre aralıkları tavsiye edilmekte ve ilgili ilerleme hız denklemleri önerilmektedir
