<p>ABSTRACT: This study focuses on the axis of thought underlying artificial intelligence developments, which have been expanding in influence and use in recent years, and the possible effects of these ideas on culture in the future. To this purpose, firstly, the actors determining the axis of thought in the production of artificial intelligence models are mentioned and some discussions about the concept -including its nomenclature- are included. Then, philosophical/sociological movements such as technological determinism, Transhumanism and Posthumanism, which are thought to play an important role in the emergence of the direction of artificial intelligence studies, are examined in the context of the related literature. Within the framework of these movements, the technological singularity, which is considered almost certain to emerge inevitably as a result of technological developments, is evaluated as a kind of ideological trend when it comes to environments such as Silicon Valley, which can be considered as the driving force of artificial intelligence. Concerns and criticisms regarding artificial intelligence researches shaped under this ideological perspective and the effects of artificial intelligence on culture are included, and especially the view that human culture will continue to exist in its current form while technology is constantly moving to a point that makes life easier, which is called the “Jetsons Fallacy” in the literature, is emphasized. As a result; based on the criticisms in the literature, it is evaluated that the production of artificial intelligence on the road to singularity, with goals such as efficiency and profit maximization, may irreversibly function in opposition to human culture, and therefore, it is very important that this situation becomes a priority subject of discussion and criticism.</p></trans-abstract>
