Article Evaluation Process

Evaluation Principles
1. Articles that have not been previously published or are not currently under review for publication in another journal and have been approved by each author will be accepted for evaluation.
2. Submitted articles will be screened for plagiarism using the intihal.net software.
3. Our journal employs a double-blind peer review process. All submissions will first be assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Articles deemed suitable will be sent to at least two independent expert reviewers to evaluate the scientific quality of the article. This ensures that articles submitted for publication undergo a fair double-blind peer review process.
4. Editors do not participate in decisions regarding articles written by themselves, their family members, or colleagues, or articles related to products or services in which the editor has an interest. Any such submissions are subject to the journal's standard procedures.
5. Reviewers must ensure that all information regarding submitted articles remains confidential until the article is published and must report to the editor if they detect any copyright infringement or plagiarism on the part of the author.
6. If a reviewer does not feel qualified on the subject of the article or if it appears unlikely that they will be able to provide feedback in a timely manner, they should inform the editor of this situation and request that they not be included in the review process.
7. During the review process, the editor clearly states to reviewers that the articles sent for review are the private property of the authors and that this is privileged communication. Reviewers and editorial board members may not discuss the articles with others. Care should be taken to keep the identity of reviewers confidential.

Preliminary Review and Editorial Evaluation
The Editor-in-Chief conducts a preliminary evaluation of the article in terms of the journal's scope, academic content, methodological soundness, and compliance with ethical standards. At this stage:
• Editors evaluate the article for compliance with the journal's writing rules.
• The text is checked for plagiarism. Articles with a similarity report below 15% are sent to the referee evaluation stage.
• An initial evaluation is made in terms of content, methodology, and innovation.
• The preliminary review stage is usually completed within 15 days.

Peer Review Process
Our journal adopts a double-blind peer review process. This process consists of the following stages:
• The work is sent to at least two independent external reviewers.
• Reviewers evaluate the work in terms of its scientific content, methodology, use of sources, and academic contribution.
• If one of the referees gives a negative opinion, the work is sent to a third referee.
• When two positive referee opinions are received, the article is considered for publication.
• The main criteria considered by the referees during the evaluation process are as follows:
• Does the work provide a new and important scientific contribution?
• Do the abstract and introduction section explain the content clearly and consistently?
• Are the methods used scientifically adequate and understandable?
• Are the results interpreted logically based on the findings?
• Is the literature review adequate?
• Are the language and presentation in line with academic writing rules?
• The peer review process takes an average of 60 days. This period may be extended if necessary.

Final Evaluation and Preparation for Publication
After the peer review process is completed, the article goes through the following stages:
• Revision Process: The author makes the necessary corrections based on the reviewers' comments.
• Language and Format Check: The work is reviewed by language editors in terms of Turkish and English.
• Editorial Board Approval: In the final review stage, the Editorial Board gives the final approval for the article to be published.
• Typesetting and Layout: The work to be published is drafted and reviewed one last time by the author.
• Indexing and Archiving: Published works are submitted to national and international indexes.
The editor is responsible for the order of publication of the journal.
Once these processes are complete, the work is published in the relevant issue of the journal and becomes part of the academic world.

Book Review
• Book reviews and other works are subject to preliminary evaluation by the Editorial Board.
• If deemed appropriate, they are sent to one or two referees.
• If the referees indicate that the work will be published after the suggested corrections have been made, it is sent to the author for final checks and corrections.
• Subsequently, it undergoes correction and editing to make it ready for publication.

Translation
• Our journal only accepts translations of articles for evaluation if the Editorial Board believes they will make a significant contribution to the field after review. The Editorial Board has the authority to reject other translated articles.
• Translated articles are sent to two referees. The referees evaluate the article in terms of the accuracy of the translation, language skills, and contribution to the field.
• If the referees indicate that the article will be published after the suggested corrections have been made, the article is sent to the author for final checks and corrections.
• The article is prepared for publication by undergoing a process of correction and editing.
