Abstract

Lateks allerjisi son yıllarda önemi gittikçe artan bir sağlık sorunu ve hatta meslek hastalığı haline gelmiştir. Hafif bir dermatitten hayatı tehdit edici anafilaktik reaksiyonlara kadar ilerleyen klinik semptomlara neden olabilir. Yüksek risk taşıyan bireylerde lateks allerjisi araştırılmalıdır. Böylece latekse bağlı gelişen allerjik reaksiyonların önlenmesi mümkün olacaktır. Bu olgu sunumunda sigmoid kolon tümör tanısı ile yatırılarak opere edilen ve ameliyat sonrası dönemde lateks aşırı duyarlılığına bağlı bulgular gözlenen 62 yaşında bir erkek hastayı sunuyoruz. Atopik olguların lateks ürünleri ile teması söz konusu olduğunda, olguların lateks aşırı duyarlılığı açısından incelenmesinin ve gerekli korunma önlemlerinin alınmasının faydalı olacağını düşünmekteyiz.
