Abstract
Independent audit activity has an important role in decision making processes of related parties and disclosing information in the financial markets. In this study, our analysis includes the audit firm market structure of the companies that are traded in Borsa Istanbul National Market (including collective products market other than exchange-traded funds), in the period of 2009-2013, independent audit opinions of the Borsa Istanbul National Market, the reasons which are basis to the opinions, auditor changes of companies which has an adverse opinion and the effects of firm changes on opinions. The result of this research, adverse opinions have almost the same particular reasons and the concentration of audit companies increases in the favor of the four major audit companies which have international quality. In the study, no clear connection found about the change of auditor when one company has an adverse opinion
and the change of the opinion to qualified after the change of auditor.

Abstract
Bağımsız denetim faaliyeti, finansal piyasalarda doğru bilgilendirilmenin yapılmasında ve ilgili tarafların karar alma süreçlerinde önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, 2009-2013 döneminde, Borsa İstanbul Ulusal Pazarda (yatırım fonları hariç kurumsal ürünler pazarı dahil) işlem gören şirketlerin bağımsız denetçileri, bağımsız denetim görüşleri, bu görüşlere esas teşkil eden sebepler ve şartlı görüş alan şirketlerin gelecek dönemde denetçi değişikliğine gidip gitmediğinin ve denetçi değişikliğinin görüşlere etkisi incelenmiştir. Yapılan araştırmada, bağımsız denetim piyasasında yoğunlaşmanın uluslararası nitelikteki dört büyüklerin lehine yükseldiği ve şartlı görüşe sebep olan hususların belirli konularda yoğunlaştığı görülmüştür. Yapılan çalışmada, şartlı görüş alan firmaların bir sonraki yıl bağımsız denetçi değiştirdiği ve değişim sonrası görüşlerin olumluya döndüğüne ilişkin açık bir bağlantı bulunamamıştır.
