The subject not only transmits his/her own history on social media, but is also kept alive and motivated by the transference generated by the symbolic and reality of social media. The aim of the study is to prepare the ground for future studies by presenting a discussion of the general structure of the concept and other psychoanalytic issues related to it for researchers who employ the concept of transference as a tool in social media studies. The first appearances of the concept of transference, which is one of the basic concepts in psychoanalytic clinic and theory, in Sigmund Freud's work date back to the early works of the author. In this respect, it is possible to suggest that the development of the concept accompanies the general development of Freud's work. Jacques Lacan, on the other hand, reevaluated Freud's work from the 1950s onwards, especially by referring to structuralist and Hegelian sources, and in doing so, he developed his triadic topological understanding of the Imaginary, Symbolic and Real. In this study, the Freudian and Lacanian explanation of the concept of transference is discussed in such a way that the development of the concept in Freud's work and its re-evaluation in Lacan's work can be presented. Subsequently, the ways in which the concept of transference, whose general structure is conveyed and its relationship with other psychoanalytic and philosophical concepts is presented, can be used as a research tool within the framework of the phenomena offered to researchers by social media and the possible limits of this use are discussed.

Çalışmanın amacı, sosyal medya çalışmalarında aktarım kavramını bir araç olarak işe koşan araştırmacılar için kavramın genel yapısı ve ilişkili olduğu diğer psikanalitik hususların bir tartışmasını sunmak suretiyle gelecek çalışmalara zemin hazırlamaktır. Psikanalitik klinik ve teori açısından temel kavramlardan birisi olan aktarım kavramının Sigmund Freud’un eserindeki ilk görünümleri yazarın ilk eserlerine dek uzanır. Bu doğrultuda kavramın gelişiminin Freud’un eserinin genel gelişimine eşlik ettiğini öne sürebilmek mümkündür. Jacques Lacan ise 1950li yıllardan itibaren Freud’un eserini bilhassa yapısalcı ve Hegelci kaynaklara başvurarak yeniden değerlendirmiş, bunu yaparken İmgesel, Simgesel ve Gerçek olarak isimlendirdiği üçlü topolojik anlayışını geliştirmiştir. Bu çalımada aktarım kavramının Freudcu ve Lacancı izahı, kavramın Freud’un eserindeki gelişiminin ve Lacan’ın eserindeki yeniden değerlendirilişinin sunulabileceği şekilde ele alınmıştır. Akabinde, genel yapısı nakledilen ve diğer psikanalitik ve felsefî kavramlar ile ilişkisi sunulan aktarım kavramının sosyal medyanın araştırmacılara sunduğu görüngüler çerçevesinde bir araştırma aracı olarak hangi yollarla kullanılabileceği ve bu kullanımın olası sınırları tartışılmıştır.
