In the study, it was aimed to reveal the characteristics of the subcultural structure produced in digital media in the TV series “Sıfır Bir: Bir Zamanlar Adana’da” (Zero One: Once Upon a Time İn Adana), which met with its audience in six seasons between 2016-2019. The series produces its own youth subculture with different forms of symbolic transmission such as character traits, scenario, and music. The study transforms into a data source the content structure of the series, which is built on the subcultural theme that digital platforms reveal in the production process, unlike traditional broadcasting content, and in this respect it differs from other studies conducted on the series. In this context, 12 episodes of the series, which were broadcast in 6 seasons and 43 episodes between 2016-2019, were included in the study universe with the purposive sampling method, and 317 scenes were analysed using content analysis according to their dialogues and visual features. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the social group structure produced in the series is typical of a youth subculture in terms of its action, discourse and behaviour characteristics, and that the dominant characteristics of the group leader are effective in the production of culture. Having a leader-centred organizational structure also brings the subcultural structure closer to the ghetto culture. Criminal elements and violence frequently encountered in actions and behaviours are not a “deviant” behaviour, but a result of the way of establishing social relations in the culture that dominates the social structure. The youth subculture, which struggles against the crime and violence-based culture that dominates “Hobohemia”, is built on strong opposition with behaviour, protest discourse, action and other cultural elements.
