Bu araştırma, iş yaşamına geçiş aşamasında olan üniversite öğrencilerinin yaşadıkları kariyer stresinin yordayıcıları olarak ailenin sağladığı finansal destek ve belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlüğün incelenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri 439 üniversite öğrencisinden toplanmıştır. Verilerin toplanması amacıyla, Kariyer Stresi Ölçeği, Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük Ölçeği ve ailenin finansal desteğine ilişkin verileri elde etmek amacıyla Kariyer Gelişiminde Aile Etkisi Ölçeğinin ‘Finansal Destek’ boyutu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistikler, pearson korelasyon katsayısı ve çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, kariyer stresi ile ailenin finansal desteği arasında negatif yönde, belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük ile pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. This study examines family financial support and intolerance of uncertainty as predictors of career stress experienced by university students during their transition to work. The data for this study were collected from a sample of 439 university students. The Career Stress Scale, Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale, and Financial Support dimension of the Family Influence in Career Development Scale were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression analyses were used for the data analysis. Research shows that there is a significant negative relationship between work stress and family financial support and a significant positive relationship with intolerance of uncertainty. According to the results of the multiple linear regression analysis, family financial support and intolerance of uncertainty explained 22% of the variance related to job stress. The results of the unstandardized regression coefficients show that financial support from the family (B =- .94, t =-8.23) is a significant negative predictor of work stress, while intolerance of uncertainty (B = .43, t = 6.88) is a significant positive predictor. In line with these results, it can be said that as financial support from the family increases, students' perceived career stress decreases, whereas as intolerance of uncertainty increases, their career stress scores increase. The results obtained are discussed in the relevant literature.
