This research aims to examine the views of MESEM education stakeholders on MESEM implementation, to bring scientific solutions to the problems experienced and to contribute to vocational secondary education. The research, which is a qualitative study, was carried out in case study design. Criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used in the study. The study group of the research consists of 26 participants selected from coordinator teachers, school administrators, students studying in Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools where MESEM implementation is carried out and business managers where internship practices are carried out in Antalya in the 2023-2024 academic year. The study data were collected through interviews and document analysis. Descriptive and content analysis were used to analyse the data. According to the results of the research, it was stated that the students chose MESEM to have a job in a short time, the wages earned by the students are low, the working days and hours of the students vary according to the enterprises, practical training could not be done properly due to the lack of workshops and equipment in vocational high schools, and the opening of MESEMs in Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools negatively affected the education in vocational high schools. Some coordinator teachers stated that workplaces carry risks in terms of occupational safety and that their supervisions are insufficient. It would be appropriate to increase workplace supervision, school-enterprise coordination, and provide more resources to vocational high schools.
Bu araştırmanın amacı MESEM eğitim paydaşlarının (öğrenci, koordinatör öğretmen, okul yöneticisi ve işletme yöneticisi) MESEM uygulamasına ilişkin görüşlerini incelemek, yaşanan sorunlara bilimsel çözüm öneriler getirmek ve mesleki ortaöğretime katkı sağlamaktır. Nitel bir çalışma olan araştırma durum çalışması deseninde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2023-2024 öğretim yılında Antalya’da MESEM uygulamasının yürütüldüğü Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Liselerinde görevli koordinatör öğretmenler, okul yöneticileri, öğrenim gören öğrenciler, staj uygulamalarının yapıldığı işletme yöneticilerinden seçilen 26 katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri görüşme ve doküman incelemesi yöntemleri kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel ve içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin MESEM’i kısa yoldan iş sahibi olmak amacıyla seçtikleri, öğrencilerin kazandıkları ücretin az olduğu, öğrencilerin çalışma gün ve saatlerinin işletmelere göre değiştiği, meslek liselerinde atölye ve donanım eksikliği nedeniyle uygulamalı eğitimin gerektiği gibi yapılamadığı, MESEM’lerin Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Liselerinde açılmasının meslek liselerindeki eğitimi olumsuz etkilediği belirtilmiştir. Bazı koordinatör öğretmenler işyerlerinin iş güvenliği konusunda riskler taşıdığını ve denetimlerinin yetersiz olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. İşyerleri denetimlerinin arttırılması, okul- işletme koordinasyonunun arttırılması ve meslek liselerine daha fazla kaynak sağlanması uygun olur.
