<p>This study aimed to determine the extent to which STEM activities conducted in science courses reflect STEM lesson specifications based on the STEM Lesson Specifications Rating Scale (STEM-DÖ). In this context, a total of 465 STEM activities included in 92 postgraduate theses and 49 articles published in Turkey between 2010 and 2021 were analyzed. The research employed a survey model. The data were analyzed using content analysis, a qualitative research method. The findings revealed that STEM activities generally reflected STEM lesson specifications at a &#039;somewhat&#039; level. Detailed analysis showed strong performance in engaging students with problems, while features such as relating to real-world problems and presenting designs were identified as weak points. The activities predominantly focused on the physics discipline (over 80%), with limited activities observed in the fields of chemistry and biology. Most studies were concentrated at the 7th-grade level, highlighting the need for STEM education to be expanded to earlier grades. The findings of this study indicate that STEM activities need improvement and are consistent with similar results reported in the literature. Additionally, the literature emphasizes that STEM activities enhance students&#039; academic achievements and suggests that these outcomes could be further improved with enhanced implementation of activities.</p></trans-abstract>
