Plastik üretiminde yaygın bir şekildekullanılan Bisfenol A (BFA), östrojeni taklit ederek endokrin bozucu gibidavranıp insan üreme sağlığı üzerinde olumsuz etkilere yol açmaktadır. Buçalışma, BFA’nın üreme sağlığına olan potansiyel etkisini Pubmed veri tabanıkullanılarak bugüne kadar yayınlanan insan temelli çalışmaları inceleyipdeğerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. İncelenen literatür sonucunda BFA maruziyetininovaryan cevapta, in vitro fertilizasyon (IVF) ve fertilizasyon başarısındaazalma, embriyo kalitesi ve sperm kalitesinde düşme, cinsiyet hormonkonsantrasyonlarında değişme, erkek cinsel işlev bozukluğu, polikistik oversendromu (PCOS) ile ilişkili olabileceğini göstermektedir. Çalışmalarınsonuçları değerlendirildiğinde, BFA maruziyetinin azaltılması (hazır ambalajlıürünler, plastik kaplar vb. kullanımının azaltılması gibi) hastalıklarınönlenmesinde koruyucu bir faktör olabilir. İnsan üreme sağlığı üzerindeki etkimekanizmalarını daha iyi anlamak ve erken aşamalardaki potansiyel üremetoksisitesini tespit etmek için ileri çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.</p>
