Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the exprienceof participants’ about home visit within the scope of public health nursingcourse. Method: In thisqualitative study, semi-structured interviews were performed with 10individuals who home visited them. The interview guide prepared by theresearchers consists of 6 questions about the experiences of individuals abouthome visits. The interviews were held athomes of paticipants’ and lasted about 35 minutes and recorded on the taperecorder. All the recordings obtained during the interviews were transcribedverbatim and analyzed consecutively. The answers of the participants were readseparately and repeatedly by both researchers and the themes were formed. Inorder to strengthen the validity of the survey findings, direct quotations werecited from the participants' comments when the findings were interpreted. Results: Nine of the participants inthe study were female. Mean range of the female was 45-92 and male participantwas 68 years old. Six of the participants were university graduates. Two werehigh school and the other two were middle school graduates. The data obtainedfrom the interviews was collected under four main themes as "willingacceptance and participation", "social support","psychological support" and "medical support". Conclusion: It was found thatparticipants in the study were willing to do and conducting home visits. It wasdetermined that the home visits were beneficial for the participants in termsof psychological, social and medical support. These results demonstrate thathome visits should not remain only within the course in Turkey and this studyprovide important information in that it needs to be carried out within theexisting health system.
Amaç:Bu çalışmanın amacı, halk sağlığı hemşireliği dersi kapsamında ev ziyaretiyapılan bireylerin uygulamaya ilişkin deneyimlerinin tanımlanmasıdır.Yöntem: Kalitatif olarak yapılan buçalışmada kendilerine ev ziyareti yapılan 10 bireyle yarı yapılandırılmış değerlendirmelergerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan görüşme kılavuzubireylerin ev ziyaretlerine ilişkin deneyimleri ile ilgili 6 sorudanoluşmaktadır. Görüşmeler bireylerin evlerinde yapılmış olup yaklaşık 35 dakikasürmüş ve ses kayıt cihazına kaydedilmiştir. Görüşmeler sırasında elde edilentüm kayıtların çözümü yapılarak analiz edilmiştir. Katılımcıların cevapları heriki araştırmacı tarafından da ayrı ayrı ve tekrarlı okunarak kodlamalaryapılmış ve temalar oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma bulgularının geçerliğinigüçlendirmek amacıyla, bulgular yorumlanırken katılımcıların ifadelerindendoğrudan alıntılar yapılmıştır. Bulgular:Çalışmaya katılanların dokuzu kadın biri erkektir. Kadınların yaş aralığı 45-92olup, erkek katılımcı 68 yaşındadır. Katılımcıların altısı üniversite, ikisilise, ikisi de ortaokul mezunudur. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler “İsteklikabul ve katılım”, “sosyal destek”, “psikolojik destek” ve “tıbbı destek” olmaküzere dört tema altında toplanmıştır. Sonuç:Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin ev ziyaretlerinin yapılması ve sürdürülmesikonusunda istekli oldukları görülmüştür. Ziyaretlerin bireylere psikolojik,sosyal ve tıbbı destek açısından fayda sağladığının vurgulandığı saptanmıştır.Bu sonuçların Türkiye’de ev ziyaretlerinin sadece ders uygulaması kapsamındakalmaması, mevcut sağlık sistemi içerisinde yürütülmesine ihtiyaç duyulduğunugöstermesi açısından önemli bilgi sağladığı görülmektedir.
