Port catheters, which are a closed system with subcutaneous reservoirs, placed in the main venous structures with a surgical intervention, are increasingly used in pediatric patients to meet the long-term intravenous treatment needs. Venobronchial fistula, which is rarely seen, developed with vascular erosion and caused by opening the vein where the catheter is located to the pleural or pericardial area, is among the late stage port catheter complications. In this study, we aimed to present a case with venobronchial fistula, which can lead to consequences such as hemoptysis, complicates the port catheter removal procedure, and is a life-threatening complication with these features.
</trans-abstract>
