Abstract

Recent data indicate bipolar disorders (BPD) often co-occurs with eating disorders (ED), but comorbidity of BPD and EDs remains relatively unexplained and unexamined. We reviewed studies addressing comorbidity of EDs in BPD and studies BPD in patients with EDs. The results of the clinical studies indicate that patients with BPD have higher rates of eating disorders compared with the general population. Rates of lifetime BPD in eating disorders are variable but higher than rates of BPD in the general population. Diagnostic, prognostic and treatment implications of these findings are discussed.

Yeme bozuklukları ve iki uçlu mizaç bozuklukları ekhastalığı
