Tuzla Gölü ve Pınarbaşı (Kayseri) bölgelerindeki Neojen yaşlı volkanik kayaçların jeolojik ve jeokimyasal özellikleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Orta Anadolu’da yer alan Pınarbaşı (Kayseri doğusu) ve Tuzla Gölü (Kayseri kuzeyi) çevresindeki Neojen volkanitlerinin jeolojik, petrografik ve jeokimyasal özellikleri incelenmiştir. Tuzla Gölü Pliyosen volkanitleri kalk-alkalin nitelikli plato bazaltlardan oluşmaktadır. Pınarbaşı Pliyosen volkanitleri kalk-alkalin bazaltik andezit ve andezit bileşimine sahiptirler. Aynı bölgedeki, Miyosen volkanitleri alkali bazalt, traki-bazalt ve kalk-alkalin bazaltik andezitlerle temsil edilmektedirler. Her iki bölgedeki volkanitler, ağır nadir toprak elementlerine kıyasla hafif nadir toprak elementlerinde belirgin bir zenginleşme sunmakla birlikte zenginleşmiş bir manto kaynağından türediklerini gösterirler. Tuzla Gölü volkanitleri ilksel mantoya göre normalize edilmiş çoklu element diyagramında pozitif Nb-Ta ve Pb anomalileri göstermektedir. Pınarbaşı bölgesindeki Pliyosen volkanitleri hafif nadir toprak elementlerinde ve büyük iyon çaplı litofil elementlerinde, kalıcılığı yüksek elementlere göre belirgin bir zenginleşme sunmakla birlikte yitimle ilişkili kökene işaret eden belirgin negatif Nb-Ta anomalisi sunmaktadır. Pınarbaşı Miyosen volkanitleri ise zayıf negatif Nb-Ta anomalileri göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, Pınarbaşı bölgesindeki volkanitler yitim süreçleriyle modifiye edilmiş metasomatize manto kaynağını yansıtan jeokimyasal özellikler sunmakta iken, Tuzla Gölü volkanitlerinde akışkanlarla hareketlilik kazanabilen iz element içerikleri haricinde yitimle ilişkili jeokimyasal özellikler daha az belirgindir. Tuzla Gölü ve Pınarbaşı bölgelerindeki Pliyosen yaşlı volkanitlerin benzer oluşum yaşlarına sahip olmalarına karşın farklı jeokimyasal karakteristikler sunmaları, heterojen bir manto kaynağının varlığına işaret ettiği şeklinde değerlendirilmiştir.
