                                                                                                <abstract><p>Oyun sektörü günümüzde 204 Milyar dolarlık market büyüklüğüyle en büyük eğlence sektörü durumundadır. Oyun sektörünün temeli 1950’li yıllara dayanmaktadır. 1983 yılında kriz yaşayan video oyunu sektörü, CD-ROM teknolojisinin ardından korsan dağıtımına da maruz kalmıştır. P2P sistemlerinin de yaygınlaşmasıyla birlikte bitTorrent protokolü geliştirilmiştir. BitTorrent protokolü korsan oyun dağıtımcılığını arttırmıştır. Bu makalede, Korsan oyun dağıtımını, korsan oyun dağıtımına yönelik önlemler ve Türkiye pazarındaki etkileri incelenmektedir. Bu çalışma korsan oyun dağıtımcılığı ve video oyunu literatürüne, korsan oyun dağıtımcılığının oyun sektörüne olan etkileri Türkiye pazarı vaka örneği üzerinden incelenerek katkı sağlamaktadır. Çalışma, korsan oyun dağıtımının geçmişini ve oyun sektörüne etkilerini, Türkiye’deki oyun sektörüne yansımaları, yerel fiyat politikası ile MENA-USD sistemi sonrasındaki etkileri ele alınmıştır.</p></abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
                            <p>The gaming industry is currently the largest entertainment sector with a market size of $204 billion. The gaming industry dates back to the 1950s. The video game industry, which experienced a crisis in 1983, was also exposed to piracy following the advent of CD-ROM technology. With the proliferation of P2P systems, the BitTorrent protocol was developed. The BitTorrent protocol has increased pirated game distribution. This article examines pirated game distribution, measures against pirated game distribution, and its effects on the Turkish market. This study contributes to the literature on pirated game distribution and video games by examining the effects of pirated game distribution on the gaming industry using the Turkish market as a case study.  The study addresses the history of pirated game distribution and its effects on the gaming industry, its reflections on the gaming industry in Turkey, and its effects after the local pricing policy and the MENA-USD system.</p></trans-abstract>
