Bu çalışmada, muhasebe eğitimi ve araştırma konusunda uluslar arası kuruluşlardan biri olan lAAER-International Association for Accounting Education and Research - Uluslar arası Muhasebe Eğitimi ve Araştırma Birliği-Derneği'nin önemi, kuruluşundan günümüze kadar hizmet vermiş uluslar arası nitelikteki isimler ve kuruluşundan günümüze kadar olan muhasebe eğitimi ve araştırmaları konusundaki dünyaya olan katkıları ülkemiz muhasebe topluluğuna tanıtılmaya çalışılmış ve ayrıca lAAER tarafından 2006 yılı Kasım ayında İstanbul'da gerçekleştirilecek olan 10. Muhasebe Eğitimcileri Dünya Kongresi ile ilgili ön bilgi verilmiştir.

(The lAAER International Associatıon For Accounting Education And Research And The 10th World Congress Of Accounting Educators) In this study, the lAAER International Association for Accounting Education and Research has been introduced to the Turkish Accounting Society. The importance and goals of the Association have been explored; both the officers of the Association and the milestone activities of those have also been highlighted. As one of important events of the Association, the 10th World Congress of Accounting Educators that will be held in İstanbul in November 2006 was covered.
