Abstract

This article focuses on the migration journey, settlement, and reconstruction of daily life based on the forced migration experiences of Syrian refugees. In the scope of the study, in-depth interviews were conducted with 30 Syrians who migrated from Syria to Turkey and settled in Istanbul, Esenler. The findings obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the research reveal that forced migration is shaped around the axes of temporariness, permanence, and uncertainty. Everyday life of Syrians is influenced by these uncertainties. Ambivalence emerges as a consequence of the temporariness experienced by Syrians, necessitating the reorganization of daily life.

Abstract

Bu makalede Suriyeli mültecilerin zorunlu göç deneyiminden yola çıkarak göç etme, yerleşme ve gündelik hayatı yeniden inşa etme süreçlerinin nasıl gerçekleştiğini odaklanılmaktadır. Makale kapsamında Suriye'den Türkiye'ye göç eden ve İstanbul'a yerleşen 30 Suriyeli mülteci ile derinlemesine görüşme gerçekleştirilmiş, elde edilen bulgular tematik olarak analiz edilmiş. Araştırmanın bulguların göçmenliğin geçicilik, kalıcılık ve belirsizlik ekseninde kurulduğunu, gündelik hayatın bu belirsizliklerle şekillendiğini göstermektedir.
