Abstract

ABSTRACT In this study, which was carried out in the black and scotch pine afforestation areas in Devrek-Akçasu district, impact of average high temperature and amount of total precipitation at the vegetation period of previous year between 1985-2006 and two altitude stage (420-720m and 720-1020m) on height increment of trees a year later was investigated. The height increment values of black pine and scotch pine which were determined according to species and altitude stage, the highest height increment of black pine and scostch pine was occured in 1992 with 70.8cm and 63.4cm respectively in the first altitude stage. The lowest height increment of black pine was occured in 2008 with 26.2cm and scocth pine was occured in 2005 with 27.4cm in the same altitude stage. In the second altitude stage, the highest height increment of black pine in 2000 with 59.4cm and 58.8cm of scotch pine in 2005 respectively were determined. The lowest height increment levels of black and scotch pine at the same altitude stage was determined as 25.6cm and 25.5cm respectively in 1989. According to the results of correlation analysis carried out concerning this research, the negative relationship were determined between height increment of two species and average high temperature throughout the vegetation period, along with this positive relationship was determined at the same variables in second altitude stage. On the other hand, the positive relationship was determined between height increment and amount of total precipitation at growing season in the both altitude stage. According to the findings, black pine is more sensitive than scotch pine against changes of average high temperature and total precipitation at the vegetation period in two altitude stages in the research area can be said.

Devrek-Akçasu yöresindeki karaçam
ve sarıçam ağaçlandırma alanlarında gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmada, 1985-2006
yılları arasında ve iki farklı yükselti kademesinde (420-720 m ve 720-1020 m) bir önceki yıl
vejetasyon dönemine ait ortalama yüksek sıcaklık (VDOS) ve toplam yağış miktarının(VDTYM)
ağaçların bir yıl sonraki boy artımı üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Araştırma
kapsamında gerçekleştirilen korelasyon analizlerinin sonuçlarına göre, birinci
yükselti kademesinde her iki türün boy artımı ile vejetasyon dönemi ortalama
yüksek sıcaklık değişkeni arasında negatif bir ilişki belirlenmiş, ikinci
yükselti kademesinde ise aynı değişkenler arasında pozitif bir ilişkinin olduğu
tespit edilmiştir. Diğer taraftan, vejetasyon dönemi toplam yağış değişkeni ile
türlerin ortalama boy artımı arasında her iki yükselti kademesinde de pozitif
bir ilişkinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu bulgulara göre araştırma alanında
karaçamın, her iki yükselti basamağında da sarıçama nazaran vejetasyon
dönemindeki sıcaklık ve yağış değişkenlerinde meydana gelen değişimlere karşı
daha duyarlı olduğunu söylemek mümkündür.
