Evaluation of Tourism Students' Digital Literacy Levels and Reflections in the Field

Abstract
This study aims to determine the digital literacy levels of tourism vocational high school students and to examine the students' ability to use the information they learn in the tourism sector. The group of this study, which was carried out with the mixed method, consists of 168 students studying in secondary education. In the study, qualitative data were collected with a semi-structured interview form consisting of 5 open-ended questions and quantitative data were collected with the "Digital Literacy Scale". According to the results, the students' digital literacy skills are at a high level (3,64), and the digital literacy skills of the students were shaped according to the experiences. It has been evaluated that the lessons at school or the tasks in the hotel affect their digital literacy skills.

Abstract
Bu çalışma Turizm Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi öğrencilerinin dijital okuryazarlık düzeylerini belirlemeyi ve öğrencilerin öğrendikleri bilgileri turizm sektöründe dijital yetkinliklerini kullanabilme durumlarını incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Karma yöntem ile yürütülen bu çalışmanın grubunu ortaöğretimde öğrenim gören 168 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada nitel veriler, 5 sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ve nicel veriler, “Dijital Okuryazarlık Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analiz sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin dijital okuryazarlık becerilerinin yüksek düzeyde (3,64) olduğu öğrencilerin genel anlamda dijital okuryazarlık becerilerinin hem okulda aldıkları ders hem de saha çalışmalarında yaşadıkları deneyimlere göre şekillendiği görülmüştür. Okulda aldıkları derslerin ya da otelde bulundukları görevlerin dijital okuryazarlık becerilerini etkilediği değerlendirilmiştir.
