<p>The aim of this study is to examine technology addiction in adolescents in terms of various variables over the pandemic period. The data of the study were collected electronically via Google Form. In the study, the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was preferred. A sample of 307 adolescents, who were determined by using convenience sampling method, participated in the study. Study data were collected using the “Personal Information Form”, “The Form for Identifying Changes in Technology Use during the Pandemic Period” and the “Technology Addiction Scale”. It has been determined that the technology addiction scale scores of adolescents differ in terms of socio-demographic characteristics such as gender and age. It has been determined that the technology addiction scale scores of the adolescents who have a smart phone and computer, have access to the internet, spend more time on the internet and consider themselves as a risky technology user are statistically significantly higher. It has been determined that changes such as increasing computer and phone usage time, increasing digital media usage time, social networking platform usage time, instant messaging application usage time, increasing online game and console game playing time during the pandemic period increase the risk of technology addiction of adolescents. As a result adolescents&#039; technology addiction levels are affected by their socio-demographic and technology use characteristics, and the changes in technology use during the pandemic period. According to these results, responsibilities fall on policy makers, mental health professionals, educators and parents. In order to reduce the risk of technology addiction among adolescents, some preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative policies and professional practices should be implemented.</p></trans-abstract>
