Abstract
Mutlu Yurttaş İmalatı kitabında Edgar Canabas ve Eva Illouz, mutluluğun toplumsal bir zorunluluk haline gelmesini ve bunun köklerini eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla ele almaktadır. Beş bölümden oluşan kitap mutluluğu çok disiplinli bir perspektiften incelemektedir. Neo-liberalizm ile sıkı bağları bulunan söz konusu "mutluluk zorunluluğu"nu hayatın her alanında inceleyen yazarlar iddialarını somut kanıtlarla desteklemektedir.

Abstract
In the book Manufacturing Happy Citizens, Edgar Canabas and Eva Illouz discuss the emergence of happiness as a social necessity and its roots from a critical perspective. Consisting of five chapters, the book examines happiness from a multidisciplinary perspective. Authors who examine the "obligation of happiness" in every aspect of life, which has close ties with neo-liberalism, support their arguments with concrete evidence.
