Valentianism as a Gnostical Christian Movement

Year 2011, Volume: 31 Issue: 31, 95 - 126, 01.05.2011

Abstract

In this article, we have dealt with Valentinianism and Valentinian mythological world view. According to us, on the one hand Valentinian movement belongs to gnostical tradition, on the other hand it takes part in Christian tradition. However, because of its monistic tendencies in its system and optimistical myth of creation, it is different from general gnostical world view. Also, Its approach to Jesus-Christ as the messenger of gnosis distinguishs it from Catholical Christianity

Gnostik Hıristiyan Bir Akım Olarak Valentinyanizm

Year 2011, Volume: 31 Issue: 31, 95 - 126, 01.05.2011
