SUMMARY
Clinical syndromes of left thalamic infarction
There are various clinical syndromes of thalamic infarction due to occulusion of different arteries which supply blood to the thalamus. In this paper, we presented three cases with left thalamic infarction confirmed by CT scan. Neurological examination revealed somnolence, disorientation, motor transcortical aphasia and oculomotor disturbances in the first case. There were sensory and motor deficits in the second case who complained paresthesia and hyperpathy. Vertical gaze palsies and ataxic hemiparesis were found in the third case.
