Epilepsy is one of the most important neurological diseases affecting approximately 1 % of human population. Today, treatments applied in epilepsy are aimed to exterminate the symptoms but most of the patients are still have seizures although they receive medication. In this review, mechanisms which cause partial epilepsy that is the most widespread form of epileptic seizures will be examined.
Epilepsi, toplumun yaklaşık %1'ini etkileyen en önemli nörolojik hastalıklardan birisidir. Günümüzde uygulanmakta olan tedaviler semptomları gidermeye yönelik olup, hastaların birçoğu ilaç tedavisine rağmen nöbet geçirmeye devam etmektedirler. Bu derlemede, epilepsinin en yaygın formu olan kompleks parsiyel epilepsinin altında yatan mekanizmalar gözden geçirilecektir.
