SERT ve YUMUŞAK KAPLAMALAR

Abstract

Geleneksel olarak, mekanik anlamda iyi tribolojik özelliklere ve yüksek sertliğe (>10GPa≈1000HV) sahip yapılara sert kaplama denir.  En yaygın kullanılan sert kaplamalar, oksitler, karbürler, nitrürler, boritler, sermetler ve elmastır. Yumuşak kaplamalar ise, katı yağlama amacıyla kullanılmak üzere, bir bağlayıcı malzeme içerisinde tozun karıştırılması suretiyle elde edilen ya da elektrokimyasal kaplama ve çeşitli fiziksel buhar kaplama işlemleri ile üretilen düşük sertliğe (<10GPa≈1000HV) sahip kaplamalardır. Sert ve yumuşak kaplamalar, uygulama şartlara bağlı olarak, katı yüzeylerde dayanımı artırmanın yanısıra, tribolojik, korozyon, elektriksel, ısıl vd. ve estetik özellikler bakımından da faydalar sağlamaktadır.

HARD and SOFT COATINGS

Abstract

Traditionally, hard coating is called to the structures having mechanically good tribological properties and high hardness (>10GPa≈1000HV). The most common hard coatings are oxides, carbides, nitrides, cermets, borides and diamond. Soft coatings are low-hardness coatings (<10GPa≈1000HV) which are obtained by powder mixing in a binder material produced or produced by using electrochemical and various physical vapor deposition processes, with the aim of using as solid lubricant. Hard and soft coatings also provide many benefits in terms of tribological, corrosion, electrical, thermal etc. and aesthetic properties, as well as they increase strength on solid surfaces depending on application conditions.
