Bu çalışmada Bozüyük Kasım Paşa Külliyesi’ne dahil yapılardan cami ve günümüzde mevcut olmayan hamama ait çiniler, teknik ve süsleme özellikleriyle tanıtılarak dönemi içerisindeki yeri ortaya konacaktır. Ayrıca hem teknik ve üslup, hem de bazı arşiv belgelerinden hareketle çinilerin ustaları ve üretim yerleri hakkında da aydınlatıcı bilgiler sunulmaya çalışılacaktır. Çiniler, renkli sır tekniğiyle üretilmiş olup motif ve kompozisyon özellikleriyle 16. yüzyıl ilk yarısına ait kaliteli örneklerdir. Özellikle camideki çinilerin müezzin mahfili, minber yan aynalığı, külahı ve geçit korkuluğu gibi bölümlerde de yer alması dikkat çekicidir. Osmanlı sanatında bu mimari elemanlarda çini kullanılması nadir bir uygulamadır. Teknik ve kompozisyon bakımından çinilerde Erken Osmanlı üslubunun hala devam ettiği, hatayi, rumi, penç, kıvrım dal gibi soyut stilize motiflerle meydana getirilen bitkisel düzenlemelerin tercih edildiği anlaşılmaktadır. Natüralist kompozisyonlar ve doğal çiçek motifleri görülmemektedir. Hanama ait günümüze ulaşan tek çini bezeme, İstanbul Türk İnşaat ve Sanat Eserleri Müzesi’ndeki kitabesidir. Süsleme özellikleriyle camideki çinilerden farklılık arz etmez. Kasım Paşa Camii’ndeki çiniler teknik ve süslemeleri bakımından döneminin sanatsal zevkini yansıttığı gibi diğer eserleriyle de benzerlikler gösterir. Makalemizde bu benzer örnekler de karşılaştırmalı olarak ele alınıp değerlendirilecektir
In this study, the tiles of mosque and a bath -which is not exist today- belonging to the Bozüyük Kasım Paşa Complex, will be introduced with their technical and decorative features and their place in the period will be revealed. In addition, in the frame of both the technical and stylistic features as well as some archival documents, enlightening information on the masters and production areas will be presented. These tiles were produced with colored glaze technique and are the quality examples of the first half of the 16th century with their motif and composition features. Particularly, it is noteworthy that the tiles in the mosque are also located in the muezzin balcony, pulpit side mirror, cone and gate guard. The use of tiles in these architectural elements in Ottoman art is a rare practice. In terms of technique and composition, it is understood that the herbal arrangements created with abstract stylized motifs such as hatayi, rumi, paw, and twist branch were still preferred, and Early Ottoman style had been continuing. Naturalistic compositions and natural floral motifs are not seen here. The only tile decoration that has survived to the present day is the inscription in The Museum of Turkish Construction and Art. It does not differ from the tiles in the mosque in terms of its decorative features. The tiles in the Kasım Paşa Mosque show the artistic taste of the period in terms of their technique and decoration and they are similar to the other works of the period. These similar examples will be evaluated in comparative terms
