ÖzetEkim 1919‘da kurulan Aksaray Fukaraperver Cemiyeti, Mütareke dönemi İstanbul’unda faaliyet gösteren bir hayır kurumudur. Kuruluşunun temel amacı ihtiyaç sahiplerine yardım etmek olarak açıklanabilir. Başlangıçta daha çok Aksaray ve çevresinde etkinlik gösteren cemiyet, ileriki dönemde faaliyet alanını genişleterek şehrin muhtelif yerlerindeki ihtiyaç sahiplerine yardım etmeye başlamıştır. Bu bakımdan Kasım 1920’de isim değişikliğine giderek İstanbul Fukaraperver Cemiyet-i Hayriyesi unvanını almıştır.Cemiyet ele alınan dönemde yoksulluk, muhaceret ve yangın gibi sebeplerle yardıma muhtaç durumda olan kişilere giyecek ve yiyecek yardımı yapma, iş imkânı sağlama, eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerine destek olma, sağlık muayenesi ve ilaç temininde bulunma gibi çalışmalar yürütmüştür. Basın organlarına ilanlar vererek faaliyetleri hakkında bilgilendirmede bulunmuştur. Faaliyet süreci içerisinde çeşitli kurum ve kuruluşlarla ilişkiler tesis eden cemiyetin doğrudan yardımda bulunmanın yanı sıra üretici olma yönünde bazı çalışmalar yaptığını da belirtmek gerekir. Adı geçen cemiyeti ilk defa müstakil ve ayrıntılı olarak ele almayı amaçlayan bu çalışmada arşiv belgeleri, süreli yayınlar, hatırat ve telif eserlerden faydalanılmıştır.AbstractAksaray Fukaraperver Society, founded in October 1919, is a charitable organization operating in Istanbul during the Armistice period. The main purpose of its foundation can be explained as helping the needy. The society, which was initially active mostly in and around Aksaray, later expanded its field of activity and started to help the needy in various parts of the city. In this regard, it changed its name in November 1920 and received the title of Istanbul Fukaraperver Society.In the period under consideration, the society carried out activities such as providing clothing and food aid to people in need of help due to reasons such as poverty, immigration and fire, providing job opportunities, supporting education, providing health examinations and medicine supply. It informed the press about its activities by advertisement. It should be noted that the society, which has established relations with various institutions and organizations during its activity process, has done some work towards becoming a manufacturer in addition to providing direct assistance. Archival documents, periodicals, memoirs and monographs were used in this study, which aims to discuss with aforementioned society independently and in detail for the first time.
