Abstract

Osteosarkom, daha çok genç yaş grubunda görülen kemiğin en sık primer malign tümörüdür.
Hastalığın hızlı seyri ve kötü prognozu yanında pek çok varyantının bulunması hasta ve hekimleri iyice
zorlamaktadır. Mevcut varyantların kendine has özellikleri yanında hepsinin kemik üretmesi gibi çok
önemli bir ortak özellikleri olması, tüm klinik ve radyolojik tetkiklere rağmen tanı konusunda soru işareti

Diagnostic modalities to osteosarcoma and variants

Abstract

Osteosarcoma is the most frequent primary malignant tumor of bone and seen mostly in youngadults. Having rapidly progress and poor prognosis is some of the caharacteristics of this disease.Beyond these features having many varyants of this disease makes both patients and doctorsconfused. As we mentioned in the text in details, varyants have many different features, but when wetake care at the pathogenesis we will see that all of the varyants are bone producing tumors. The latterfeature must make surgeon not to forget biopsy as a diagnostic method, if he could not manage to putthe diagnosis with clinical and radiological studies.
