The goal of this study is to determine the reasons of studentsâ disciplinary problems at state high schools on the basis of administratorsâ, studentsâ, teachersâ and family membersâ opinions. Interview, which is one of the qualitative research techniques, is used in this study. The sample of the study is selected appropriate for maximum variation sampling. The study is carried out in four goverment high schools with 40 teachers, 40 students, 40 family members and 13 administrators. Totally 133 people are interviewed. The verbal data, which is selected with semistructured interviw technique, is analyzed within the phases; reducing data, presenting data and conclusion. With the percentage frequencies of datas in categories and with the help of the quotations taken directly interpretations are made. Some of the results of this study is that; the reasons of studentsâ disciplinary problems vary to some extent. The density changes according to the participants. The reasons about education system are emphasized mostly by the teachers and the administrators, the reasons about family are emphasized mostly by the family members, the reasons about the reaction to the teacher, grades, school and administration are mostly emphasized by the students. âExpressing oneself and wanting to be differentâ is the most underlined reason of all groups expect the family members.
Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğrenci disiplin sorunlarının nedenlerini, yönetici, öğretmen, öğrenci ve veli görüşlerine dayalı olarak incelemektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma tekniklerinden görüşme tekniği kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme tekniğine uygun olarak seçilmiştir. Araştırma dört devlet lisesinde çalışılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma, 40 öğretmen, 40 öğrenci, 40 veli ve 13 okul yöneticisiyle görüşerek gerçekleştirilmiştir. Toplam 133 kişiyle görüşülmüştür. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak toplanan sözel veriler, veri azaltma, veri sunma ve sonuç çıkarma aşamaları izlenerek analiz edilmiştir. Kategorilere işlenen verilerin yüzde dağılımlarından ve doğrudan alıntılardan yararlanılarak yorumlar yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularının bazıları şunlardır: Lise öğrenci disiplin sorunlarının nedenleri oldukça çeşitlidir. Farklı kişilerin, nedenlere yüklediği ağırlık farklıdır. Eğitim sistemiyle ilgili nedenleri, yönetici ve öğretmenler; aileyle ilgili nedenleri, veliler; öğretmene, nota, okula, yönetime tepkiyi belirten nedenleri, öğrenciler daha çok vurgulamıştır. âKendini ifade etme, farklı olmayı istemeâ, veliler dışındaki tüm grupların en fazla vurguladığı nedendir.
