The aim of this study is to develop a worksheet to be used so as a guide material by teachers in teaching the relationship between pressure and boiling point of a liquid. Firstly, interviews were undertaken with 36 students to find out studentsâ misconceptions as either individually or as a group. And then, the worksheet was developed to remedy misconceptions from studentsâ minds and to provide effective teaching of this topic without misconceptions. Constructivist learning perspective and studentsâ misconceptions in the interviews were taken into account during the development stage of worksheet. The worksheet implemented in a Lycée 2 classroom with 24 students. The data from the questions in evaluation section of worksheet were analyzed. The results showed that this material is very successful to remedy studentsâ misconceptions and to provide effective teaching. According to results, some implications for teaching were made.
Bu çalışma, basıncın sıvıların kaynama sıcaklığı üzerine etkisini öğretmede öğretmene rehberlik edecek bir çalışma yaprağı geliştirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın başlangıç aşamasında lise seviyesinde toplam 36 öğrenciyle bireysel ve grup mülakatları yürütülerek, basıncın kaynama sıcaklığına etkisiyle ilgili yanılgılar tespit edilmiştir. Yanılgıları gidermek ve etkili kavram öğretimini sağlamak amacıyla konuyla ilgili bir çalışma yaprağı geliştirilmiştir. Materyalin geliştirilmesinde bütünleştirici (constructivist) öğrenme teorisi göz önünde bulundurulmuş ve hazırlama safhasında öğrencilerin basınç-kaynama ilişkisi ile ilgili yanılgıları dikkate alınmıştır. Uygulama, 24 kişilik Lise 2 öğrenci grubu ile birlikte gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulama sonunda materyalin değerlendirme bölümündeki sorulara öğrencilerin verdikleri cevaplardan elde edilen bulgular, öğrencilerin sahip olduğu kavram yanılgılarını gidermede ve basınç-kaynama ilişkisini anlamada etkili olduğunu kanıtlamıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında, materyalin öğretim sürecinde etkili bir şekilde uygulanabilmesine yönelik bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
