                                                                                                <abstract><p>Uluslararası politikanın temel meselelerinden bir tanesi olarak çatışma ve savaşlar, eski dönemlerden bu yana üzerine çok sayıda çalışmanın yapıldığı bir alandır. Modern uluslararası ilişkiler sisteminde Birleşmiş Milletler Şartı’yla yasaklanmış ve meşru müdafaa halleri dışında kullanılması uluslararası hukuka aykırı kabul edilmiştir. Buna karşın, çatışmalar var olmaya devam etmiştir. Bu durumlara yönelik olarak ise uluslararası barış ve güvenliğin sağlanması için çok uluslu barış operasyonlarının düzenlenmesi sıklıkla başvurulan bir yöntem olmuştur. 70 yılı aşkın süredir düzenlenmeye devam eden barış operasyonlarına ülkeler ve BM dışındaki bölgesel ve uluslararası örgütler oldukça geniş bir katılım göstermiştir. Katılımcı ülkelerden bir tanesi olarak Türkiye de süreç içerisinde barış operasyonlarına önemli destek sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’nin barış operasyonlarına verdiği desteğin tarihsel ve coğrafi arka planı ele alınmakta ve Türkiye’nin motivasyon kaynakları analiz edilmektedir. Ayrıca, Türkiye’nin güvenlik stratejileri ile barış operasyonlarına katılım yoğunlukları arasındaki anlamlı ilişkinin değerlendirilmesi suretiyle Türkiye’nin çatışma yönetimine dair genel bakış açısının barış operasyonları üzerinden ortaya çıkartılması amaçlanmaktadır.</p></abstract>
