<p>The 2015 Migration Crisis is recognized as a historical turning point that profoundly impacted the European Union (EU) and, particularly, France. This crisis triggered identity reflexes across Europe and sparked intense debates among national leaders and the public. Due to its geographical location and political stance, France was significantly affected by this wave of migration, leading it to develop various policies regarding refugee acceptance. This study examines France’s response to the migration crisis from both domestic and foreign policy perspectives, focusing on national security concerns, changes in asylum and migration policies, and the impact of these policies on relations with the EU. Additionally, the study addresses social dynamics, such as the rising xenophobia and the surge of far-right political movements. By closely analyzing France’s immigrant integration processes, the research delves into issues of social cohesion and cultural tensions, while assessing immigrants’ access to essential services like education, healthcare, and housing. Economic integration, labor market impacts, and contributions to the social security system are also discussed. The 2015 Migration Crisis, in the context of the evolution of post-Cold War international migration policies, has reshaped cross-border migration movements and state responses. In this framework, the study provides insights into how future international migration policies might evolve in light of the challenges and opportunities France has encountered. Ultimately, the 2015 Migration Crisis emerges as a complex phenomenon that has redefined France’s migration policies and societal dynamics. The integration and social cohesion of immigrants are of critical importance not only for France but for the future of Europe as a whole.</p></trans-abstract>
