The purpose of this study is to examine relation between Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Life Satisfaction (LS) of mountaineer/rock climber, cyclists and hikers. Sampling group consists of mountaineers/rock climbers, cyclists and hikers whose number is not known exactly in Turkey. In this study sampling has been applied and electronic questionnaire form has been sent to all members of clubs which are bound to Turkish Cycling Federation (TCF) and Turkish Mountaineering Federation (TMF). The data has been gathered via electronic questionnaire form and in this study EQ and LS scale has been used. The sampling group consist of 937 male (age=35.78±10.629) 244 female (age=36.10±10.557) in total 1181 (age= 35.85±10.61) participants. In this study Life Satisfaction Scale (LSS) which was developed by Diener and Emotional Intelligence Scale (EQS) which was developed by Chan have been used. Since, in the process of assessing data the descriptive statistic methods such as frequency (f) percentage (%) average (M) standard deviation (SD), were not applicable, one of non-pragmatic tests Kruskal Wailles and Mann-Whitney U have been used. At the end of the assessing when the difference emerged between groups in order to find the origin of difference within groups one of Post-Hoc tests Benferroni correction has been used. Results have been assessed according to significant level 0.05 As a results of this study; a positive relation has been found between four dimensions of EQ; which are using emotions positively, positive emotional management, emphatic sensitiveness, emotional assessment and life satisfaction, and a meaningful difference has emerged between EQ and LS of cyclists and mountain climbers.
