The political, diplomatic, historical, sociological and legal aspects ofthe problem known as the “Armenian question” is being researched and analysedfrom different points of view. However, the psychological dimension which is themost important field in solving the problem is lacking. The paper deals with thepast traumas and psychological situations of all the parties: Armenians ofArmenia, Armenian diaspora, Turkish Armenians, Turkish people who defend theTurkish “official view”, Turks who apologise from the Armenians claiming thatthey feel guilty, and the Western world which puts pressure on Turkey. As it isdefended that the basis of the problem lies in psychology, the solution is notfocusing on the future, but on overcoming the past traumas
