Spor Yapan Bireylerde Egzersiz Bağımlılığı, Ortoreksiya Nervoza ve Etkileyen Faktörlerin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

AAmaç: Bu çalışmada düzenli olarak spor yapan bireylerin egzersiz bağımlılığı ve ortoreksiya nervoza eğilimleri ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlenmek amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Kesitsel ve tanımlayıcı nitelikte yapılan çalışma spor salonuna üye olan ve düzenli egzersiz yapan 272 birey ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Egzersiz Bağımlılığı Ölçeği-21 ve ORTO-11 ölçekleri kullanılarak toplanmıştır.
Bulgular: Katılımcıların egzersiz bağımlığı toplam puan ortalaması 56,62±15,95; ORTO-11 puan ortalaması 26,55±4,02; %3,3’ü egzersiz bağımlısı; %25,7’si ortoreksiya nervoza eğilimlidir. Egzersiz bağımlılığı ölçek puan ortalamaları karşılaştırıldığında erkeklerin, 18-28 yaşta olanların, üniversite düzeyinde eğitim alanların, alkol ve sigara kullananların ve 3-4 ve 5-6 gün spor yapanların egzersiz puan ortalamalarının daha yüksek ve gruplar arasındaki farkın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Katılımcılardan diyet yapanların ORTO-11 puan ortalaması daha düşük ve gruplar arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlıdır (p<0,05). ORTO-11 ölçek puanları arasında negatif yönlü zayıf bir ilişki varken, ORTO-11 puanı, yaş, cinsiyet ve haftalık egzersiz gün sayısından oluşan bir modelin ise egzersiz bağımlılığının %15,6’sını açıkladığı belirlenmiştir.
Sonuç: Spor yapan bireylerde egzersiz bağımlılığı ve ortoreksiya nervoza eğiliminin yüksek olduğu; egzersiz bağımlılığının ortoreksiya nervoza, yaş, cinsiyet, sigara ve alkol kullanımı ve egzersiz gün sayısından etkilendiği varsayılabilir.
