Olay çizgisi odaklı/anlatı temelli metin türlerinin okuma sürecinde bazı sorunlarla karşılaşıldığı bilinmektedir. Okuma ve anlama uğraşı belli bir yöntem ve kurama dayanmadan yapıldığında metinden edebî zevk alınamamakta ve okuma kültürü ediniminde problemler yaşanmaktadır. Bu nedenle anlatı temelli metinlerin analizinde farklı yöntemler kullanılmaktadır. Türkçe ders kitaplarında ve dijital ortamlarda bu tür metin çözümlemelerinde birtakım etkinlikler var olsa da bunlar yüzeysel kalmaktadır. Olay çizgisi odaklı okuma yönteminde okuyucunun okuma kültürü edinmesi ve okunan metinlerden edebî bir zevk alması sağlanır. Bunun yanında bir metnin temel olaylarını belirleyerek bunları kronolojik bir sıraya koyabilir, ana düşünceyi ve yan düşünceleri belirleyip metni derinlemesine tahlil edebilir. Bu yöntem, okuyucuya hikâyenin ana hatlarını hızla anlama ve önemli detayları fark etme imkânı sağlar. Bu sayede, zamanı daha verimli kullanarak, metni daha derinlemesine anlamak için odaklanılacak bölümleri belirlemek mümkün olur. Bu amaçla makalemizde Şemsettin Sami'nin Türk Edebiyatı’nın batılı anlamda ilk roman örneklerinden biri kabul edilen “Taaşşuk-ı Tâl'at ve Fitnat” romanını “Olay Çizgisi Odaklı” okuma yöntemini kullanılarak incelenecektir. Bu makalede nitel araştırma desenlerinden doküman analizi kullanılmıştır. Veriler olay çizgisi odaklı okuma yönteminin ana başlıklarına göre toplanmıştır. Olay çizgisi çıkarılırken zaman sıfır noktasından başlatılır. Geçmişte yaşanmış olaylar sıfırın soluna yazılır ve ileri tarihte yaşanacak olaylar da sıfırın sağına kronolojik sıraya dikkat edilerek yazılır.
It is known that there are problems in reading event line types of contents. Literal pleasure can not be gained when reading is conducted without any method or theory and there are problems faced on obtaining reading habit. So different methods are used in analyzing narrative texts. Even though there are some activities in Turkish coursebooks and on digital sources on analysis of these types of texts, they are a bit shallow. Readers enjoys the text and get reading habit by chrological reading method. Besides this the readers can state the main points of these type of texts and set a chronology of these points and analyze the text deeply. This method allows the reader to quickly grasp the main outlines of the story and notice important details. Thus, by using time more efficiently, it becomes possible to identify the sections to focus on for a deeper understanding of the text. We will study “Taassukı Talat ve Fitnat” by Şemseddin Sami which is accepted as one of the earliest examples of western type in Turkish literature by event line reading method. In this article, document analysis, one of the qualitative research designs, has been employed. Data were collected based on the main headings of the event line focused reading method. The timeline is constructed by starting from the zero point in time, carefully placing past events to the left of zero, and future occurrences to the right of zero, ensuring a meticulous order in their sequence. When creating a timeline, time is started at the zero point. Events that occurred in the past are written to the left of zero, and events that will occur in the future are written to the right of zero, in chronological order.
