<p>Modernindustrial development lasted for several centuries, and three major industrialrevolutions had emerged until daylight. It is now entering the fourthindustrial revolution, called industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 aims to make thatproduction with better quality, cheaper, faster and less waste with robots thatcommunicate with each other, can sense the environment with sensors, andrealize the needs by making data analysis. It allows to communicate with eachother and people of things by monitoring physical processes with cyber-physicalsystems in modular smart factories and as a consequence decentralized collaboratordecisions are made. In today&#039;s competitive environment, it has becomeinevitable for businesses to apply Industry 4.0 to their organizations in orderto protect and sustain their presence. For this, it must be well known theconcept of Industry 4.0 and its basic paradigms. Therefore, in this study, theindustry 4.0 and its basic paradigms are explained, and a general evaluation ismade by giving information about smart factories.</p></trans-abstract>
