Abstract

Hastane çalışanları, önemli miktarda veri yönetmek, hızla değişen tıbbi enformasyonu güncellemek, güncel bilgiyi sağlamak, hastalar için tüm uygun bakım değişikliklerini benimsemek zorundadır. Büyük miktarlardaki bilgi, değişen teknoloji, yeni ilaçlar ve tıbbi bakımın karmaşıklığı gibi unsurların tümü, tıbbi hatalar için elverişli bir ortama katkıda bulunur. Bu yüzden hasta güvenliği için bilgi yönetimi, dikkate alınması gereken bir konudur. Bilgi yönetimi, sağlık hizmetlerinin değerlendirilmesi, hizmet planlaması, bütünleştirilmiş bakım planları, hastalık yönetimi ve güvenli bakım verilmesi için temel anahtardır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, bilgi yönetimi ve hasta güvenliği kavramları çerçevesinde hastanelerdeki bilgi yönetimi faaliyetlerinin hasta güvenliğine katkısını vurgulamaktır. Çalışmada hasta güvenliği; sağlık hizmeti sunumu sırasında hastaya zarar verebilecek güvenli olmayan eylemlerin azaltılmasının yanı sıra en iyi uygulamaların kullanımı aracılığıyla optimal bakım sonuçlarına ulaşma olarak, bilgi yönetimi ise; organizasyon amaçlarını gerçekleştirmeye çalışan birey ve gruplar aracılığıyla bilgi toplama, yaratma, paylaşma ve dağıtmaya yönelik aktiviteleri organizasyon çapında koordine eden sistematik ve bütünleştirici bir süreç olarak tanımlanmaktadır
