Year 2019, Volume: 24 Issue: 3, 643 - 654, 30.07.2019

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the relationships between authentic attitudes and materialist, spiritualist world views of Ege University and Katip Çelebi University students in Izmir. In the research process, 402 participants were reached by questionnaire method and the data were analyzed by SPSS 22 program. The metaphysical world view scale represents spiritualist and materialist worldviews. The authenticity scale consists of acceptance of external influences, self-alienation and authentic living dimensions. It has been found that there are significant relations between spiritualist, materialist world views and authentic life and self-alienation dimensions. While there is a positive relationship between the authentic life levels of individuals with spiritualist world view, there is a negative relationship between self-alienation levels. For the individuals with materialist world view, there is a negative relationship between authentic life levels and there is a positive relationship between self-alienation dimensions.

MATERYALİST VE SPİRİTÜALİST DÜNYA GÖRÜŞLERİNİN OTANTİK TUTUM İLE İLİŞKİSİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Year 2019, Volume: 24 Issue: 3, 643 - 654, 30.07.2019
