Year 2009, Volume: 16 Issue: 4, 5 - 9, 30.12.2009

Abstract

Abstract

The short-time results of minimal modified çolakoğlu needle suspension method which is applied in stress incontinence surgery in our clinic

The aim of the study to evaluate the short-time results of stress incontinence patients who had operated needle suspension method which is minimal modified, defined by Çolakoğlu et al. Between, January 2007–November 2008, 12 patients have taken in study who had operated needle suspension method which is minimal modified by us and defined by Çolakoğlu et al. The average age of 12 patients are 59.1 ± 10.8 years, gravity's are 6.4 ± 3.2 and parity's are 5.5 ± 3.2 In postoperative period 1 patient's sutures (%8) was taken because of difficulty in mixion and residue urine. Postoperative 4. and 8. week's controls any patients had urinary incontinence. This surgical technique seems to be a good method, because it is cheap, easy, and has successful results in short time.

Key words: Stress incontinence, needle suspension, short time result.
