                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışmada,elmanın kurutma öncesi aşamalarından olan dilimleme işlemi için bir prototipmakina tasarımı ve imalatı yapılmıştır. Yapılan prototipin 3 farklı devir ve 3farklı bıçak açıklığında iş verimi, oluşturduğu elma dilim kalınlıkları, güçtüketimi, gürültü düzeyi ve ürün kayıpları belirlenmiştir.Deneme sonuçlarına göreortalama iş verimi; 300 d/d’da 192.3 kg/h, 350 d/d’da 213.7 kg/h ve 400 d/d’ da237.2 kg/h olarak bulunmuştur. Prototipin elma dilim kalınlıkları ise 20 mm bıçak açıklığında 4,70 mm, 30 mm bıçak açıklığında 8.09 mm ve 40 mm bıçak açıklığında ise 9.92 mm olarak bulunmuştur.Prototip yine aynı devirlerde yüksüz çalıştırıldığında ortalama 0.184 kW/h güçtüketimi, yüklü durumda çalıştırıldığında ise 0.238 kW/h güç tüketimi yaptığı saptanmıştır.Uluslararası standartlara göre 85 dB ve üzeri sesler işitme sisteminezararlıdır. Bu sebeple prototip denemeleri yapılırken gürültü düzeyi de ölçülmüşyüksüz durumda ortalama 64.66 dB, yüklü durumda ise 68.33 dB gürültü düzeyi belirlenmiştir.Ürün denemelerinden sonra saptanan ürün kayıpları ise 20 mm bıçak açıklığındaortalama % 4.6, 30 mmbıçak açıklığında ortalama % 4.7 ve 40 mm bıçak açıklığında ise ortalama %7.1 kg olarakbelirlenmiştir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>In this study, a prototype machine was designed andmanufactured for slicing apple which is one of the pre-drying stages. The workefficiency, apple slice thickness, power consumption, noise level, and productlosses were determined at 3 different cycles and 3 different blades of theprototype. According to the results of the trial average work efficiency; Itwas found to be 192.40 kg/h at 300 rpm, 213.40 kg/h at 350 rpm and 237.20 kg/hat 400 rpm. The thickness of the apple slices, where the prototype formed thesame cycle, was found to be 4.70 mm with a 20 mm blade distance, 8.09 mm with a30 mm blade distance and 9.92 mm with a 40 mm blade distance. When theprototype is operated without vegetable material at the same cycles, the averagepower consumption of 0,184 kW/h and power consumption of 0,238 kW/h weredetermined at load. According to international standards, sounds of 85 dBA ormore are harmful to the hearing system. Therefore the prototype trials whilethe average noise level of 64.66 dBA measured without plant material, the datahas reached the level of 68.33 dBA noise when operated at loads of vegetablematerial. After the product trials, the product losses occurred in the machinewere weighed, an average of 4.6% of the 20 mm blade distance, 4.7% of the 30 mmblade distance, and 7.1% of the average product loss of 40 mm blade distance.</p></trans-abstract>
