In this study, Taʾrīk̲h-i
Jahāngošāy-e Nādirī, which includes events related to the life and political
activities of Nādir Shah Afshar (d. 1747), who has great importance in terms of
the history of Shiite-Iran, was introduced. This work was written in Persian by
Mīrzā Mahdī K̲h̲ān Astarābādī (d. 1757), who undertook the clerk of Nâdir Shah.
Since Astarābādī was the scribe of Nâdir Afshar, he traveled with him for many
years and participated in various expeditions. In this way, Astarābādī had the
opportunity to record historical events of the period and to convey issues
related to Nādir Shah's life. The original manuscript of this work, which has
an important place in Iranian history and literature, was written in a literal
style and in a heavy language. The copy of Taʾrīk̲h-i Jahāngošāy-e Nādirī was
reorganized with additions containing various simplifications and explanations.
It is hoped that the promotion of this work, which is a first-hand document,
will be beneficial for the researchers who are interested in this field.
