About
Sakarya Communication Journal, which started its publication in 2021, is an international peer-reviewed journal that adopts the principles of double-blind peer review, operates on a non-profit basis, and follows open-access publishing practices. The journal focuses on theoretical and applied academic studies related to the intersection of social sciences and communication sciences.
Our journal publishes compilation articles, research papers, theoretical articles, book introductions, and book reviews in both Turkish and English languages. Sakarya Communication Journal is published biannually, in June and December. The average time for the evaluation process of submitted articles is as follows: the initial evaluation period takes about 7 days, the peer review process by referees takes about 60 days, and the overall time for the article to be ready for publication is approximately 90 days. All submissions to the journal are screened using the iThenticate plagiarism detection program. The similarity rate should not exceed 20% excluding sources, and the similarity rate with a single source should not exceed 3%. In case the work is derived from a thesis or has been presented at conferences and symposiums (unless published as a full-text in the proceedings book), authors are required to inform the editorial board when submitting the article.
Article acceptance for the issue to be published in June 2025 will continue until May 10, 2025.
Articles sent to Sakarya İletişim should be prepared according to APA 7 format and sample template starting from 2024.
